Gentle Chiropractic: the Activator Method

Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique is a gentle, low-force technique that can be used safely on patients of all ages.

An Activator tool is a small rubber-tipped instrument that delivers a light force to specific locations on your spine or any joint, realigning the bones and relieving pain and spasm.

By using an analysis of your leg lengths, we can determine the areas in your body that need to be adjusted.  In addition to the spine there are other areas and joints that may be adjusted including feet, knees, elbows, shoulders, and even your jaw.

Once we realign the bones and joints stress is reduced in the area which improves motion, reduces pain and restores function. The Activator Technique is very gentle and does not hurt at all.

This was first developed as an alternative to manual chiropractic in the 1960s.  Many patients have told me they are scared of having someone “crack their spine” (as they like to say.)   Even though manual chiropractic adjustments are very safe and effective, people are happy to know there is an alternative.  It is even safe for people who have osteoporosis and may not be able to tolerate a manual adjustment.

Chiropractic adjustments are helpful for many conditions in addition to spinal pain, including sciatica, headaches, shoulder pain, disc problems, vertigo, ear infections and carpal tunnel.

When combined with the correct nutritional program, chiropractic works even better and faster.   Ask us if adjustments would benefit you.
